THE BIBLE
CORNER
FAITH
COMES
(Note:
To read at a glance follow the bold print)
One of the greatest promises in the word of
God is that faith comes.
There is not a situation nor circumstance that can occur that
God has not already given us a way to receive the answer. Believing that you have received an answer
and acting on the answer is faith. The prayer that is prayed in
faith always receives an answer. A faith prayer is one that
is worded and proceeds out of a heart filled with faith. It is scripture (word) based
and has at its core a desire to please God. Pleasing God is Faith. The words that you speak
take on a different meaning because you have the word of God in
you. Just the
knowledge of this will give your life a new meaning. The word of God is the
Power of God in the believer.
It causes an expectation that gives way to receiving from
God. You and the word
becomes one. The word
is the source of your being.
You rely, trust in, adhere to and have your living based on
this word. Moses states
that this word is your very life. Joshua states that you
should meditate in the word day and night and observe to do all that
is written therein then you shall make your way prosperous and have
good success. The key to this operation is you and what
you decide to do with the word that you have. To each believer has been
given the measure of faith.
You are already in the family (household) of faith. The believer in the house of
faith speaks and
imitates (copies and follows) the
Father's example.
In the book of Genesis God saw darkness and He spoke "Light
be," and the Light was.
He was in, could we say, the situation and He spoke what He
wanted to occur or manifest and it did. We as children of faith must also speak the word to change
our situation.
As a believer say, "
I believe, therefore I speak before Him whom I believed,
even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things, which
be not as though they were.
No unbelief or distrust makes me stagger or wave (doubting questions)
concerning God's word, but I grow strong in faith as I
give praises and glory to God." In other words, another
opportunity to exercise my confession of what I believe about what
God said. The saying of what
God said about me in every situation or circumstance helps faith to
come.
In the book of Daniel God gave these four
children (Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah) knowledge and
skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in
all visions and dreams.
When they were tested they were found ten times better than
all the magicians and astrologers that were in the king's
realm. With this
knowledge and Daniel purposing in his heart to follow/obey God, he
was given favor.
Daniel used
this favor with God to
study God's
word (Daniel 9:2) and
pray and make confessions (2:18-23, 6:10, 9:10-21). When unfavorable situations
occurred Daniel knew
what to do. He petitioned the God of Heaven with His word
and Who and What God is and was. With this information
spoken according to God's word
Daniel received answers and his faith grew accordingly as he acted
on the information received from God and from the
Prophet(s). Daniel's spending time with God
had developed into a union and communion that has brought to
completion this love and gave
Daniel confidence to stand in the face of evil
situations. He knew his God and was strong and did
great exploits. Let me assure you in this
day that God has faith for you in
all that you say or do.
It is up to you to speak his word and act
accordingly.
