THE BIBLE CORNER
HOW TO BUILD AND RELEASE THE WISDOM AND
POWER OF GOD
(Note:
To read at a glance follow the bold print)
I praise and give thanks to God our Father and
the Lord Jesus Christ that he will grant us a fresh
revelation of who we are in Him and who He is in us. As I was
reading my word preparing to do a work that God had assigned,
I came across these scriptures that opened up new
revelation to aid in my understanding:
1 Corinthians 1
24 But unto them
which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the
power of God, and the wisdom of God
30 But of him are ye
in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom,
and righteousness, and sanctification, and
redemption:
Colossians 1
26 Even
the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but
now is made manifest to his
saints:
27 To whom God
would make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in
you, the hope of
glory:
28 Whom we preach,
warning every man, and teaching every man in
all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in
Christ Jesus:
2 Peter 1
3 According
as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto
life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath
called us to glory and
virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto
us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be
partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption that is in the world through lust.
1 Corinthians 1
18 For
the preaching of the cross is to them that perish
foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the
power of God.
21 For after that in
the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased
God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that
believe.
Romans 10:
6 But
the righteousness, which is of faith, speaketh on this wise, Say not
in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (That is, to bring
Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who
shall descend into the deep? (That is, to bring up Christ again from
the dead.)
8 But what saith it?
The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart:
that is, the word of faith, which we preach.
This knowledge helps me
to know that the power and wisdom of God is
released through me as I speak trusting the Father and the
Spirit for my words. Because this word
(Christ: the
wisdom and power of God) is in me, the faith
base is already established. Since faith comes by
hearing, I simply say what God has said about any
situation or circumstance to change it to fit what God has
stated in the scripture.
The saying of what God has written /spoken builds
my confidence (faith) in God as it renews my mind
to think and act like God, my Father. This renewing process
builds until I have a revelation (an understanding) of what God is
saying through my spirit to my mind. In all my getting, I must get
understanding for this is the key to any victory. These verses state how the Spirit of God uses my words to
help establish a revelation so that victory in knowing God is
realized:
1 Corinthians 2
4And my language and my
message were not set forth in persuasive (enticing and
plausible) words of wisdom, but they were in demonstration of the
[Holy] Spirit and power [a proof by the Spirit and power of God,
operating on me and stirring in the minds of my hearers the most
holy emotions and thus persuading them],
5So that
your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men
(human philosophy), but in the power of
God.
6Yet when we are among the full-grown
(spiritually mature Christians who are ripe in understanding), we
do impart a [higher] wisdom (the knowledge of the divine plan
previously hidden); but it is indeed not a wisdom of this
present age or of this world nor of the leaders and rulers of this
age, who are being brought to nothing and are doomed to pass
away.
7But rather what we are setting forth is a
wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now
revealed to us by God-- [that wisdom] which God devised and
decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the
glory of His presence].
My victory comes in speaking God's
words. The Holy
Spirit power that is operating through me stirs in my mind and
begins to persuade me that I am what God's words say that
I am. Preaching
helps renew my mind to accept what I speak as a
believer. My mind then
begins to train my body to respond in line with the word of
God. Releasing the
wisdom and power of God is a continuous process that builds on
itself because of the inherent power of the word of God in the
believer. As I
release the word daily it builds a strong foundation and a habit of
speaking, listening, thinking and acting like God. Through this
fellowship, information and knowledge are revealed through His
Spirit to my spirit and then to my mind. He and I become one as
our relationship grows.
I become more conscious of a new way of thinking entering
my mind, causing my mind to be transformed and informed by the word
of God. Things
that I
couldn' t have thought or believed before are now becoming everyday
occurrences. I believe them
because I have experienced God' s ways of thinking and
doing. This
knowledge of God helped bring light to these scriptures:
1 Corinthians
2
10 But God hath revealed
them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things,
yea, the deep things of God.
12 Now
we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which
is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to
us of God.
16 For who hath known
the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind
of Christ.
My renewed mind, being the mind of Christ,
has been transformed and is instructed by God to form an
understanding of His word until it becomes just as natural as
thinking is to my mind.
As I continue to hear from God, I am obedient to his word and
act accordingly.
Speaking releases my faith into the
circumstance/situation.
Using the words that I have received causes a change to
take place in the circumstance/situation confronting me. Agreeing with God is
the new creature at his best. Walking in the
truth, exercising the word of God, and being in time with God,
releases the wisdom and power of God.
