Revealed experiences
The Glass Pitcher
God gave me a demonstration to use when I
was teaching on “the use of the Name of Jesus.” In demonstrating that it is
a spiritual thing, I took a glass and filled it with water to show
that the Holy Spirit poured God’s love into our hearts. I then took the glass
and emerged it into a pitcher filled with water to show that when we
are baptized into the Holy Spirit, God takes our spirit and emerges
it into His Spirit. As
I sat the glass filled with water down into the pitcher of water I
saw that God’s Spirit protected my spirit but the outside of the
pitcher (my body) was not protected. I thought that His Spirit in
me would be enough to keep me, but that is not the way it
works. So then I
understood the scripture:
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also
quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
(Romans 8:11) God would
quicken my mortal body (flesh) by His Spirit that dwells in me only
as I spoke His word. Faith has to be spoken so that
the Word will penetrate the outside of the pitcher (my body) and
protect me from all attacks of the devil. I must speak words that have already
been spoken by God to keep my
body protected.
You see, my spirit with God’s Spirit inside of me, and the
words that were
spoken by me, carry the life out of me that I
need to cover the outside of
me.
Jesus said the words that I speak unto you they are spirit
and they are life. This
is in keeping with the statement, “the righteousness of faith speaks the
word.”
Therefore it is
with the spoken word that I cover myself from the attacks of the devil
so that my flesh can stay healthy. As my mind is being renewed
to the word of God, I exercise faith by continuing to speak the
words that I have received. Faith filled words
spoken, protects and keeps me (my whole being) in the things of
God. For though I walk
in the flesh, I do not war after the flesh. I must use spiritual weapons:
the word of God and
obedience, to win the war for my body. Thanks be unto God who always causes us to
triumphant In Christ
(the anointing) and gives us the
victory through the spoken Word.
