Watching The Word Work

I was speaking to the church about how important it is to base your decisions on God's word.  Don't always pray for the lowest price, but pray that you will have more than enough money to pay the cost.  Do not look at the price; find something that you like while speaking the word of God into the situation.  I was reading one of Dr. Kenneth Hagin's books where God told him that he had to use his faith to get money to come to him.   I decided to speak to my money and loose the ministering angel to bring my money to me.  My wife and I were going to the mall to shop for her Christmas present.  I wanted to find something that she liked without looking at the price.  We found a gift that she loved and wanted.  I asked the sales clerk to hold it for me while we looked around. While my wife was shopping, I went back to have the clerk hold the gift for a time that she and I agreed on.  On the day I returned to the store, the manager closed the sale.  The sales manager tried diligently to find me a discount (favor).  I insisted that it was a good price because it was what my wife wanted.  She took my name and information saying if the price went down in thirty days, she would call me.  (The blessing of the Lord makes me rich and adds no sorrow to it.)  A few days later I received a call to inform me of a price change.  The store refunded me fifty percent of the original price plus an additional ten percent.  Being willing to speak the word and trust God, the price did not make a difference, but the savings did.  I received favor before the sale and after the sale.

Speaking the word of God into my situations has been a joy.   It does not matter how much money I have or don't have, I always acknowledge the Lord and He directs me.  During this same time I was speaking the word of God about an item that would complete my bedroom.  As my wife and I were shopping in one of our favorite stores, my wife found the item.  As we were discussing a minor problem with the item, a clerk came up and said,  This item has been marked down fifty percent and we are giving another fifty one percent off the marked down price. The Lord always gives us a bigger blessing.  He said it is because of the power that we put to work in us. Using the word of God releases God's help because we love Him and delight in obeying His word.  As we meditate, observe and do His word, He brings it to pass by the power we release when we speak the word that we have stored in our minds.

Every time we speak the word of God into a situation or circumstance, God's wisdom is released and He always gives us our desire.  Jesus said, “I speak the word…and my Father does the work.”  (John 14:10) I just imitate my Big Brother, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my Father recognizes me as His own. So now I can say, “I speak the word …and my Father does the work.”  It is a blessing to be able to watch the word work.
