After spending time in devotion, I came to a place where I began to realize that life is greater lived when your heart is pure.  I looked back over my past and noted that my life has been rewarding because I am able to forgive others.  As I meditated on forgiveness I was able to see the life of love take a new and renewed route. Jesus makes a powerful statement in the book of John 20 ²¹Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." ²²And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. ²³If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."(NIV)  What makes this so powerful is that the Holy Spirit is given to help me forgive others of sin.  No matter who it is or what they have done to me it is possible to forgive them because I have received the Holy Ghost.  It is a commandment that I forgive and God has seen to it that I have the ability to do it.  The Peace of God is always available, along with love, to overpower any wrong.  I searched my heart to know the reason for my receiving this revelation. I began to see the love life through forgiveness.  Being always ready to forgive, because the power of God is always available, is a sure sign of His presence in my life.  Love has no hindrance when I have forgiven all.  To live a life of forgiveness one simply has to make a decision to obey the Word.  I learned from the book of Daniel that Daniel purposed in his heart and God brought Daniel into favor.  Daniel 1 ⁸But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.  ⁹ Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs. (KJV) I call this favor a supernatural energy that God has given to me to release because I have purposed in my heart to obey His Word.  I learned that I am never alone when I decide to agree with God.   His Spirit and Power are with me to reinforce in me the will of God.  Philippians 4¹³I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]. (AMP)  The key to forgiveness is a made up mind.  Regardless of the circumstance or situation, a made up mind will cause you to have this energy exercised when you agree with God. 

I was involved in a situation where I knew that I didn’t like the person because the person had deliberately set himself against what I was trying to do.  I began to say to myself that I forgive and love this person.  I continued to repeat this statement even though it did not seem as if it was working.  Knowing the Word always works, and that supernatural energy is there; by faith I kept saying it.  One day this person came to me and said, “I know you don’t like me” and before the person could say anything else I heard myself saying, “That’s not true, I love you.”  I spoke with such energy that the person and I were startled and from that day forth this person has been very kind to me. The release of the supernatural energy of forgiveness convinced me that this statement is true:  Love always wins when spoken from the heart.
